Step one: This step is simply to get the jist of your drawing down and to mess around with proportions. Notice that she's 1:6 head ratio, meaning if you measured her head, her body would be six heads tall. I chose a static pose to make things simpler.

Step two: Fill her out. Here is where you determine just how busty she is, how full her hips are. Hips are important! Don't be afraid of curves! But don't go wild, either. Shoulders and hips are generally the same breadth. And don't worry about thicker legs. There's nothing wrong with that. It's the super skinny people that bother me! Also, notice that the finger tips don't go past the center of the thighs.

Step three: Add in your details here, namely clothes and hair. When you feel you're finished, ink in the main lines and erase the sketch lines. Be sure you're absolutely satisfied, though, 'cause once you're done inking, there's no going back.

Step four: Now you get to colour! Hurray!
